Megan Bynoe

PhD Student

Megan is a first-year Ph.D. student at Carnegie Mellon University interested in process controls for additive manufacturing. She holds a B.S. and an M.S. from Rutgers University in Materials Science and Engineering. At CMU, she aspires to utilize machine learning to investigate material behavior challenges of additive manufacturing.

Prior to joining CMU, she was an additive manufacturing engineer at Veeco, where she gained experience developing production-ready, additively manufactured parts. Before Veeco, she built industry experience at Relativity Space, Aerojet Rocketdyne, and Colibrium Additive. At CMU, Megan is excited to apply her industry background to create predictive physics-informed models to minimize print failures.

Outside of the lab, she enjoys weightlifting, reading, and baking.
