
Research Assistant
Sangram is a research assistant at FORGE Lab, and recently graduated with an M.S. – Research in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. His research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning, computer vision, robotics, and engineering design. At FORGE Lab, he works on residual surrogate models for engineering and manufacturing systems, developing machine-learning methods that improve the accuracy and computational efficiency of simulation-based workflows.
His previous experience includes graph neural networks for understanding engineering drawings, deep reinforcement learning, multimodal AI, and perception using visual and tactile sensor data. He enjoys exploring how data-driven models can complement physical knowledge and help solve complex real-world engineering problems.
